I read an article in Good Housekeeping about the procedure a lady had for her LPR symptoms. She had excellent results and the Dr. is only 2 hrs away from me. None of my Dr's have been very encouraging for me to try surgery. I think simply for the reasons the previous poster mentioned. I'm still very interested if you learn of any new details. |

I was just about to post exactly the same problem when i saw your post. Mine has gone runnier and clearer but with smallish pale yellow jelly lumps in. Its embarrassing but not painful and I have no idea what's causing it. A while ago i did have problems with pain during ejaculation on the front of my pubic bone where as far as i know the tubes from the testicles go, i saw a GP and he said just take PCM and come back in a week, but by that time it had gone. I dont know if these two problems are related, but i would love to know if anyone can shed some light! |

Funny you should ask. I had the laser procedure (PVP) back on Sep. 19. I can tell you what my experience has been but as far as comparing it to the TURP, you'll have to hear from someone who has had the TURP. First of all, it was an out-patient deal. The procedure itself was no big deal - I was hooked up to an IV and they put me out and I woke up with a catheter in place with a bag strapped to my leg. I was told I could remove it the next day and was given instructions on how to do it. The following morning I removed the catheter when I had my shower and it was no big deal. The first time I had to pee after the catheter came out was a bit uncomfortable due to some soreness in the end of my penis, right at the opening. That lasted for a couple of days and was gone and that's the only discomfort I felt for a while. I guess you could say that my recovery has been in stages. First was the blood in the urine, followed by passing bits of what looked like blood clots or scabs I guess they could be called. This has all been accompanied by over active bladder and frequency of urination. I cant go more than about 2 hours without having to pee, depending on how much liquid I've had to drink and that's both day and night. The latest thing was a severe, what I would describe as a muscle spasm, immediately following urination. That was actually painful at times. I had been on Flowmax prior to the surgery but quit taking it afterwards because I didn't think I would need it anymore. But when I starting having the "spasms" I decided to go back on the Flomax and it seems to have helped because those are pretty much going away. To sum up, I'm about a month and a half post-op and things are getting better all the time with the exception of the OAB and the frequency. The OAB isn't as bad as it was and I'm hoping that will go away. The frequency will have to wait and see. Bottom line - now when I pee, man do I ever! Like we used to say when I was living on the farm, "like a cow pissing on a flat rock". |

Walk, run, Jog... Eat smaller portions about 6-8 times a day. Do not eat large portions or have only 1-2 meals a day as your body feels it is starving. Drink, drink, and drink...lots of Water. Cut out any "processed" foods as they have extra fats for shelf life and to taste better. Stick with fresh veggies...no starchy veggies like corn, carrots, and potatoes. Have lots of protein...no bbq sauces, etc. Plain, grilled meats. No red meat like beef unless it is very lean. Stay away from restaurants unless you can absolutely guarantee that they do not cook with beef fats, butter or some sort of high density packaged lard! do not weight yourself every day...only twice a week! Weight yourself the same time every time you do...and on the same scale. It is better to take measurements of your waist, hips, thighs, upper arms and breasts and watch things firm up than to aim for a number on a scale! DO NOT let anyone tempt you...if they try they are not your friend! You can probably lose 5-10 lbs or more the first week and 2-3 lbs the following weeks but you will see your inches go down dramatically after a few weeks of walking and drinking water. good luck! do not forget water!!! |

Hi. I had a sebaceous cysts excision, and its really a simple, common procedure, performed by a family physician, to completely remove the sac ant its` contents. Completely removed cyst will not recur. Also, I had to take some oral antibiotics before excision, my cysts were infected. A family physician will give you a local anesthesia. Did you know that sebaceous cysts are benign tumors? They are caused by blocked sebaceous glands, swollen hair follicles and excessive testosterone production. |

First thing you should know about gym is that you have to be patient. You need more then six months to see some results. It is long fight with you. If you have fast metabolism it means that your body burns energy fast. It means that you should take a lot of proteins (50%), carbs (30%) and fat (20%). You must eat a lot of fruit and vegetables, lots of meat (when you eat chicken take the white meat), milk, eggs, cheese etc. |

I had a consultation with him in May 06 every thing looked good until I requested photos and the receptionist started babbling and making excuses as to why they have none. I was turned off by that and decided not to push ahead with the procedure....I certainly dont have $8,000 to throw away on temporary results! I was so estatic when I found out there was an alternative to calf implants as I dont want any foreign object in my body or tell tale scars. |
